Stenosis Redux

Today started out RED with streaks of BLACK and then it faded to WHITE.

That’s when the morphine kicked in.

I wanted to scream.  I had no mouth.

Tomorrow will start out RED with streaks of BLACK.  Then, it will fade to WHITE.

Thoughts hang suspended

like spit

on dental floss.

I can’t wake up.

It’s Christmas, again.  It came fast, this year.
